The Darley Dale Clay Pigeon Shooting Club was formed by a few friends in 1970's at Stanton in the Peak, since then it has moved to various location including Longcliffe and Bradbourne until finally finding a long term home at its current location near Brassington and regularly attracts large numbers of shooters from around the local area and beyond. The club is affiliated to the CPSA having a safety officer and runs its own classification scheme but does not hold CPSA registered shoots. The site is ideally suited to Sporting Clays with the ability to locate traps above and below the shooter providing scope for all the classic stands such as driven, teal, rabbits and crossers. All traps are automatic removing the need for trappers but shooters are asked to mark their own cards and operate the traps responsibly. There are catering facilities on site making tea, coffee and hot food The club welcomes new faces whether experienced or new to clay shooting.
